CHAPTER 001
Most of what you wear was
designed for a margin.
Not for you.
RTHR BE is two garments built against that test. A seven-inch linerless short. A fitted ribbed tank. Both engineered around a single premise — that clothing made for the body, in the body's language, becomes invisible to the body once you put it on, and you can go do the thing you came here to do.
This is a closed-list, sample-run launch. Four colorways. Two garments. Drawn in Sedona. Finished by hand. A small library of clothes built to outlast the year they were made in.
"The desert is its own master.
You do not arrive in the desert —
you are accepted by it, or you are not."

CHAPTER 002 · RB-S01.7IN
A SEVEN-INCH LINERLESS SHORT. THREE ANTIQUE-BRASS YKK EXCELLA WELT ZIPS.
A BONDED WAISTBAND THAT DOES NOT ROLL. POCKETS ENGINEERED FOR THE PHONE
IN YOUR POCKET — NOT THE PHONE THE FACTORY EXPECTED.
Most training shorts solve for one thing and lose three. The liner solves for hygiene and ruins the drape. The pockets solve for storage and fail at containment. The waistband solves for fit and gives you a fold by the second wash. We started by removing the liner, and then asked what else was there because no one had questioned it.
Two angled vertical welt pockets rake at seventy-five degrees — steep enough to keep contents in motion, shallow enough to read at a glance. The back welt pocket is sized 175 × 95 × 14 millimeters: the precise envelope of an iPhone 17 Pro Max in a slim case. The waistband is bonded, not elasticated, so it stops rolling on day one. The drawcord is a single tonal length with a brass-tipped aglet. The bee, in honey gold, sits at the back-right hem.
CHAPTER 003 · RB-T01.FIT
A FITTED RIBBED TANK. SUPIMA, LENZING MODAL, AND ROICA V550.
THIRTY-EIGHT MILLIMETER STRAPS. THREE-HUNDRED-TWENTY MILLIMETER
ARMHOLE DROP AT SIZE M. A HEM THAT STAYS DOWN.
The tank is the harder garment to get right. A tank reveals construction in a way a t-shirt does not — every seam is exposed, every line of stitching is on the body's surface. We drew the armhole at a 320-millimeter drop and held it there. The straps measure thirty-eight millimeters across — wide enough to disappear, narrow enough to read as deliberate. The hem is finished straight with a two-line coverstitch in tonal thread, so it sits flat against the body without the curl most ribbed tanks develop by month two.
The bee, fifteen millimeters in honey gold, sits at the left chest. The ribbed knit holds the chest line; it does not impose one.
CHAPTER 004 · THE FIBER REGISTER
We selected for fiber before we selected for finish. Supima for hand and lasting hand. Tencel Lyocell for drape and breath. Lenzing Modal for the way it ages. ROICA V550 for stretch that returns to its origin. None of the four colorways involves virgin polyester at the body — only at the zipper teeth, where there is no replacement. There is no PFAS in the finish. There is no silver-nano antimicrobial. There is no story in the fabric that has not been verified at the mill.
The bone-cream tank weighs 210 grams to the meter. The graphite short weighs 230. The four colorways were drawn from a single afternoon on the rim above Oak Creek — black at the base of a juniper, bone cream from a sandstone ledge, field olive from the underside of a piñon, graphite heather from the storm shadow on the far canyon wall.

CHAPTER 006 · IDENTITY SYSTEM
The bee is the working insect of any landscape. It does not announce itself. It does the work, and the result of the work is what survives the season. We chose it as the brand mark because the entire thesis of RTHR BE — quiet, useful, small in profile, present where it matters — is contained in the figure of the bee.

CHAPTER 007 · CORRESPONDENCE
The first run is closed. Names on the list are invited in the order they arrive. There is no waiting-room copy, no countdown, no scarcity tactic — only the size of the cut, which is small by design.
If the brief speaks to you, leave a name and a way to reach you. We will write back personally when the line is ready.
